The 2.0 Update

The 2.0 update is here, and a lot of exciting new features and mechanics are coming with it!

Added Perks

With a new update comes a new meta. Explore, unlock and experiment with 15 new perks that will bring your hunting and streaking experience to the next level.

Want to spawn bots that help you out? Supercharge your streaking? Or just want to reduce your gamble self-damage? It’s all here.

Perks are unlocked through Contracts, which can be accessed through the new Contractor NPC if you’re at least Prestige 15. These are extended challenges designed to test your abilities in a variety of ways.

You can equip up to 3 perks at a time. Each perk has 3 levels, which you can increase in the Contractor NPC after unlocking a perk.

You can view a maxed out version of all the perks in the Upgrades NPC!

Modified Megastreaks

To give a more pit-like experience, we’ve made some minor changes to the functions of megastreaks, such as To The Moon now copying and storing your XP, and modifying Overdrive. We’ve also added Grand Finale.

Changed Crates into Uberdrops

Sandbox and Birthday Crates have been converted into Super and Ultimate Uberdrops. Their rewards have been buffed significantly, as let’s be honest here, they were pretty terrible.

To be more transparent with the playerbase, all Super and Ultimate Uberdrop odds are available at store.pitsandbox.io and when you hover over one.

Added the /museum command

After interviewing some players, we found that a significant portion of the playerbase had issues starting out due to items being scattered around and hard to find. No more with the /museum command!

This command shows most in-game items and how to get to them, helping all players find their way around more efficiently.

Changed Daily Deals

Daily Deals were a part of /store that were originally too good and got nerfed into the ground. They quickly became useless as players advanced and bots were added. We’ve removed these and replaced them with Deals, which show up rarely and offer a variety of exclusive offers. Some exclusive 2.0 update deals are in there now!

Balance changes:

Protection buffed from 1.5% to 2.5% per tier
Strength Stealer nerfed (1% per 10 kills -> 25 kills)
Boosters no longer give crates/uberdrops
Changed Blessed research tree perk (0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5% chance of getting a Super Uberdrop instead of an Uberdrop when finishing an Uberstreak)
Changed Fortunate research tree perk (33.3/66.7/100% chance of getting a Super Uberdrop when activating a booster)
Shift clicking a player in spawn now /views them instead of /trade

Bug fixes:

Fixed Reflection (apparently did pretty much nothing)
Old pieces of Protection armor convert more quickly to their new state, to avoid abuse
Fixed Miner Helmet lore being removed when its Protection level is converted
