Five Lobbies & the Tryhard Bot

The Tryhard bot is back!

Which may not sound like something to celebrate about, if you were around during the first one. This one, however, is rarer (0.1% chance on kill), more balanced, and comes with very cool rewards!

Rewards include Megacoins, runes, uberdrops, and a couple of new items, which I won’t spoil.

The lobby count has been increased from 2 to 5, to improve lag and general game playability. Players will (ideally) be balanced between them fairly equally, but there might be some kinks until more tests have been performed.

There is currently a 30 second cooldown between lobby switch attempts. The idea is that this should be reduced/removed soon, so just bare with us on this part.

Other General Gameplay Changes:

  • 2 New Perks!

    • Egg Bomber, for Easter: Kills have a 1/2/4% chance to drop an Egg Bomb, dealing 4 hearts of damage to all nearby bots. Damage is multiplied by 1.5x during April.
    • Serenity: Go invisible for 2/4/6 seconds when blocking without being hit for 1.5s. Invincible while invisible. Lose invisibility when you hit someone!
  • 2 New Runes!

    • Double Cross Rune: Provides immunity from Crossbow. Legendary only. --- I was a little torn on this one. Crossbow tends to be a love-or-hate thing. But if you hate it enough, you can now use a rune slot to block it.
    • Breakthrough Rune: Your hits have a 1/2/3/6% chance of removing your enemy’s Resistance and prevent them from getting it for 5s.

Battlepass Changes:

  • Increased the number of points needed, but added a “Battle Bonus” - the first 3 quests completed per day each grant 40% of the points needed to level up
  • Rewards are no longer autoclaimed, added a button in the bottom left of the UI to claim rewards
  • Megacoins can no longer be claimed if the player is too close to the cap
  • The first daily quest change costs 10,000 Coins

Balance Changes:

  • Strengthened new Stylish armor to Protection 6

  • Absorbing Renown into Megacoins now costs 15 -> 20 Renown

  • Players’ first contract is now free, and requires only 20% of the usual work

  • Bank changes:

    • Lowered Level 1 Bank storage to 100,000 XP
    • Increased Bank level storage multiplier (1.11x -> 1.225x)
    • Bank storage now rounds to the nearest 1,000 XP
    • Lowered Level 1 Bank claim cost from $200,000 to $50,000
    • Lowered claim cost increase from levels ($50,000 -> $25,000)
    • Bank now generates 10% of its maximum contents per day passively
  • Buffed Megastar damage increase per level (0.2% per level -> 0.1% per level + 2.5% every 5 levels)

  • Started giving Super Uberdrops from Prestige 2

  • Enchant changes:

    • Buffed Last Stand (procs at 3 -> 4 hearts)
    • Buffed Bruiser (10/20/40% -> 10/25/45%)
    • Buffed King Buster (7/13/20% -> 8/15/25%)
    • Buffed Punisher (6/12/18% -> 8/14/24%)
    • Buffed Sharp (4/7/12% -> 6/12/15%)
    • Buffed Lucky Shot (2/3/4% -> 2/3/5% chance)

QOL Changes:

  • Marcus NPC can now upgrade the armor you’re wearing, rather than the armor in your inventory
  • Team Destroy “BRING BANNER BACK TO YOUR BASE” message now only appears 2 seconds since you last hit a player
  • DEATH! messages are now clickable, /viewing the killer
  • Added text above NPCs if not yet unlocked (e.g. “Unlocked at Prestige X”)
  • Added Progress bars to Protection levels on armor in the Marcus NPC
  • Added a Prestige 60 overflow XP counter, shown on the leaderboard

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed the Night Quest battlepass challenge completing when it isn’t supposed to
  • Fixed Gamble tickets appearing in spawn
  • Fixed Super/Ultimate Uberdrops only counting towards the “Uberdrops” battlepass quest if they complete the animation
  • Fixed a bug causing bots with long names to show random characters in damage and kill messages
